President’s Message

First, let me give a heartfelt thanks to all our clients and industry partners for making 2016 a milestone year for CDS while we celebrated our 30th anniversary!

Last year was an incredibly productive and important building year for CDS. We continued to invest in the future by focusing much of our product development attention on the next phase of our new platform, Converge. CDS is strongly committed to perfecting the new platform and this next phase of development is concentrated on further increasing the speed of delivery and quality of your registration sites. Additionally, we have been busy enhancing products like our newly-launched SCOUT Event Guide and the XPress Leads family of products.

New for 2017 is our business intelligence tool, Data Sense. Built on an industry-leading analytics platform, the tool will leverage the new Converge data model to provide deeper insight and understanding into your event data, helping you build attendance and increase engagement.

Many of us would agree that data is becoming ever more critical to drive attendance and engagement in our industry. We would also agree that organizers now have access to this valuable event data in ways never before available to them. As we move forward into 2017 and beyond, CDS is committed to supporting your data strategy, helping you make sense of your data so you can make informed, timely business decisions that drive your event objectives. Whether you are looking to develop stronger conference programs, attract a new audience, or reconnect with past attendees, the answers are in the data.

2017 is looking to be another strong year for CDS, our clients, and the industry. We continue to grow and are actively looking to fill a number of new staff positions to support our clients. We also continue to outgrow our current office space and will be breaking ground this Spring as we build our new headquarters right next door!

I am not at all surprised at how far CDS has come in its first 30 years and I expect to go much further in the next 30. I attribute this success to our people, our unwavering commitment to customer service, and our mission to continually improve and evolve!
