Doug Levinson has an extensive and diverse knowledge of business operations and management. Over 30 years of experience in vendor and client relations and multi-location management has made him a strong leader with a proven track record.

In January 2005, Doug joined Convention Data Services as its Chief Operating Officer and was also recently named its President and CEO. Under his leadership, the company has experienced explosive growth while maintaining the same high quality service in existing business and operations.

Prior to joining Convention Data Services, Doug was Senior Vice President of Operations for MediaLive International. MediaLive produced some of the largest technology tradeshows including: COMDEX, N+I, JavaOne, Seybold, and 11 other major events. Before Doug joined MediaLive, he was the CEO of BASS Tickets (later Tickets.Com) for 15 years, the largest computerized ticketing company in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

John began his career with Convention Data Services in 2000 as Accounting Manager and has worked his way up through the ranks to his current position of Chief Financial Officer. As part of the company’s Executive Management Team, John has primary responsibility for directing and coordinating all company financial objectives including developing annual budgets, cash management and investment strategies of the corporation.

In 2003, John led his financial team in achieving the goal of becoming one of the only SAS 70 level II certified companies in the industry.

Prior to joining Convention Data Services, John held various positions with increasing responsibility in corporate accounting, auditing, taxes and consulting services for the Boston firm of Parent, McLaughlin and Nangle, one of the largest accounting and business advisory firms in the New England.

Eric Hanson joined Convention Data Services in September 2005 with the goal of creating a top-notch Web Development and Information Technology Team. Eric’s focus and purpose is singular—to enhance and institute processes that not only help his department, but benefit the entire company in increasing efficiencies and productivity.

Prior to joining Convention Data Services, Eric was Director of Information Technology for MBI Benefits, a provider of electronic benefit payment systems. MBI became the leader in the healthcare payment solutions market and in July 2005 the company was acquired by Metavante Corporation, the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI) which provides a complete range of healthcare payment products.

David Lawton’s exceptional communication skills are the secret to his success as a sales executive. He believes that developing a rapport with clients, vendors and employees is key to being an effective leader and he is recognized for his lead-by-example style.

David joined Convention Data Services in June 2001 as Product Manager and was promoted through the ranks to his current position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Charged with managing the Sales, Marketing, New Business and Exhibitor Services departments since November 2004, David has led the effort in growing the company’s sales to significant levels each year.

Prior to joining Convention Data Services, David was the Customer Support Manager for Infinium Software Inc. where he managed a diversified professional customer support team of in-house and remote employees.

David is a member of the International Association of Exhibition and Events (IAEE), the Meetings Professional International (MPI), and a regular sponsor and attendee of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) and the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE).

Deborah Tanis joined the Convention Data Services Executive Management Team at the beginning of 2006 with 20 years of project management experience. Her multi-tasking and strategic thinking abilities have been a bonus and the key to her success in the world of business operations. She is responsible for overseeing all departments relating to Registration Management and Operations including the Customer Care Center, Data Entry, Order Processing and Onsite Show Production.

Prior to joining the company, Deborah was the Senior Conference Manager for Eastern Research Group (ERG), where her scope of responsibilities included planning and managing conferences and events for multi-million dollar government contracts.

Deborah is an active member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), the leading association for the global exhibition industry.
