We take this matter very seriously and have instituted policies and procedures to ensure your privacy rights are protected. The following outlines our Privacy Policy and details the measures we have taken to safeguard and protect your privacy.

Information We Collect

When you visit our web site, we may automatically collect statistics about your visit. This information does not identify you personally, but rather about your visit to our web site. We may monitor statistics such as how many people visit our site, which pages people visit, from which domains our visitors come and which browsers people use. We use these statistics about your visit for aggregation purposes only. These statistics are used to help us improve the performance of our web site.

Personal and event specific information may be collected along with a “Request for Proposal.” For example, this information may include your company name, contact name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, event name, event location, services required and event dates.

Use of Information

The information you provide to us will be used to keep you up-to-date on areas for which you have expressed interest. We do not give or sell personal information to any outside company for its use in marketing or solicitation. We will maintain the confidentiality of your personal information. CASL – Canadian Anti-Span Legislation Compliance

CDS’ policies and products are in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation that went into effect July, 2014. Recipients of our emails have either recently attended one of our events, recently registered for an event or have consented (implied or express) to receive emails from us or our customers. CDS provides both an opt-out link and an opt-out email address in all CDS email correspondence.

We Use Tracking Technology

We collect personal information about users over time and across different mediums when we communicate with you or when you visit our websites. We also have third parties like Google Analytics that collect personal information this way. To do this, we use several common data collection technologies including cookies and URL tags. These technologies are used to understand the activities and behaviors of our consumers and website visitors. We do this for many reasons, including the following:

  1. To recognize new visitors to our websites
  2. To recognize past visitors
  3. To present more personalized content, to improve your website experience, optimize your browser experience, and provide site and service enhancements
  4. So we can better understand our audience, our customers, our website visitors, and their respective interests

You May Opt-Out of CDS Analytics Tracking

You may opt-out of individual tracking and still receive information and promotions from CDS via email and our websites. Click the link below and we will remove you from our individual tracking program. Aggregated, anonymous information—like campaign names—will still be tracked when you opt out of individual tracking.

How to Control Tracking Technology

You may control the use of cookies by configuring your browser to reject browser cookies. All browsers have this capability, but the method for doing so varies from browser-to-browser.

NOTE: If you configure your computer to block cookies, you may not be able to access certain functionality on our site. Options you select are browser and device specific, and if you block or delete cookies, not all of the tracking that we have described in this policy will stop.
